Early Birthday Gifts for Mason

Mimi and Papa were super excited to give Mason his birthday present...an army outfit!  that boy loves military things!

Can't you tell?

Mason's Kindergarten Graduation

Each kindergarten class made a different colored cap.  They were really cute.  There are 5 kindergarten classes this year!
Waiting patiently in line for his turn.

Getting his diploma from Mrs. Pyles and then a hand shake from the Ben Chambers Graduation Bear.
 HE DID IT!

Brandon's Award!

Brandon graduated from the 5th grade!  I am not all for having a graduation ceremony unless one is graduating from high school or college, but i will attend my children's events with a happy face for sure! ;)

Anyway, Brandon and his classmates had all the pomp and circumstance of real graduation, walk side by side with a classmate, go up on stage, the whole nine yards.  There are 4 5th grade classrooms at his school.  Each classroom voted for "best of the bunch" among their classmates.  Brandon was chosen as the hardest worker.  After each and every 5th grader (all 90 plus of them) walked up and across the stage to receive their best of the bunch award, they did it again to get their diploma.  When i thought it was finally time for cake (the whole incentive to sit that long) the principal grabbed the microphone.  She announced she had 6 special awards to give.  Two for most improved, two for best citizenship and two for the highest grade point average for the whole grade.  Well don't you know, mr. brandon received one of the highest g.p.a.!  We were both so surprised!  He didn't even crack a smile as he robotically paraded up to receive his award!  lol  we are so proud of him!

Property Issues

Just ignore this post...this is just so i have these pics on here for future use.

Spelling BEE!

Mason was in the school  spelling bee.
He came in 3rd place for kindergarten!!
Brandon was in the  school spelling bee too.
He came in 3rd for his grade.
Mason provided his usual comic relief...he spoke very loudly and clearly into the microphone...almost too loud!  and when he was given the word "their" he stated to the announcer, "that is a hard one!" and she asked him to give it a try to his reply, "okay okay".  he did get out on the word spelling it t h i r.  but, he didn't cry...until he noticed he was not receiving a trophy!

COOPER

We've adopted...a dog that is!  We brought Cooper, named by Brandon, home on Friday April 26.  It is a big change from having Tazzy but we enjoy him just the same.  He is a very good doggy besides all the chewing!

Look Up...

Check this out!
My grandma, mom and brother are on a billboard!  For the month of June they can be seen high up along route 30 around the Greenfield exit.  They all have been patients of Orthopedic Associates for many, many years and the practice is celebrating 40 years and asked them to represent them.  How cool is that!
