our extreme room makeover

We have more progress on our master bedroom suite...Thinh and his friend, Chris, removed all of the rumble on Thursday and Friday. Here they are trying to haul the carpet out to the truck. Mason, I believe, is pretending to be Tazzy.
Bye-Bye old yucky stained carpet!

And, finally the old medicine cabinet down the ramp and on it's way to the dump...along with the other over 4,000 pounds of tile, plaster, lumber, toilet...

Wacky Wednesday!

Usually Wednesdays are hectic, Brandon to the bus stop at 8 a.m., Andrew speech by 9:30 and then off to the roller rink at 10:30, but Mason has a nasty sounding cough and slight fever, so we stayed home today. He is acting fine, but I did not want to share the love with others. It seemed like a very long day!
This is spirit week at Mary B. Sharpe. Today was pajama day and Brandon wore his chinese ones. He insisted on this pair (notice way too small) even though he has a tan set that would have fit much better! He does look very cute though.

Andrew shoved a kid size basketball up his shirt and said proudly, "Look at my boobie!" He is nuts!!!

Even with all of the chaos that goes on in our house, I am happy to look outside this time of year and admire the beauty of the autumn leaves and breathe!

Daddy's Big Truck

Tuesday morning, Thinh called to say he ran out of hours (DOT regulations, he can only work 16 hours a day!) and if we could pick him up off of Exit 20. Another driver from his company drove his truck back to the terminal and we dropped Thinh off at home, saving him about another hour from the drive to Hagerstown and then back home to Chambersburg. I already had the boys ready for preschool so off we went to get daddy. Andrew loved sitting in the big truck.
It is a big jump up into one of those 18 wheelers!

Andrew loved pulling the air horn, but Mason was scared, so he stayed in daddy's arms.

Can't you just see the "wheels" turning in Andrew's head!

If you ever see one of these, look inside for Thinh and beep and stay out of the way!!!

When Thinh gets bored...

When Thinh gets bored...walls come a tumbling down! Yesterday his friend, Jason from Conway, came down and he and Thinh starting ripping and tearing into the back room. That area of our house has been many things...our bedroom, a family room, playroom and most recently an exercise room. We pretty much figured it was never insulated and our suspicions were correct, as you can see - NONE! When it was our room, you could see your breath in the air on a cold winter morning!
He also tore out the closets and bathroom as well. He found exposed brick walls, a huge beehive and many razor blades behind the bathroom mirror.

So, it will once again become our master suite.

Thinh went to Koser's building supply auction on Saturday and already purchased a jacuzzi tub, a granite double sink top and hardwood flooring.

I have the best HUBBY!!!

Halloween 2008

Mason was the bumblebee this year!
Brandon chose an Alien costume.

Yes, that is Andrew inside!

For some reason, I thought it would be fun to go the mall on their trick or treat night! Well, we don't need to experience that again!

The three little goblins!

Pumpkins, gourds and goblins...oh my!

Our friends, Bg and Donna, stopped in on their way to a Halloween party...dressed as a cowgirl and a cowboy.
Oliver was Batman!

Our poor decaying pumpkin!

This one reminds me of an old man without his teeth in!

Tracy, our next door neighbor, grows her own gourds and then makes cool things with them...like this.

And another one...she made us a cool birdhouse this spring.

The Hamburglar (aka Tracy) and the Wizard (aka Ron).

Mason's new hobby!

Mason has discovered a love for the camera...here is a self portrait and...
a picture of mommy! Not too bad for a 2 year old!
