Andrew loves babies!

Jonathon aka 'Buddy' Koser
little Jordan Koser 6 weeks old

she was fussy at dinner time (of course that is when all babies become fussy) and Thinh was the only one who made her happy! He would have loved to add a girl to the mix!

Andrew just loves babies! He was so happy to be able to hold her while she was sleeping. He always tells me he wants anywhere between 10 - 100 babies when he gets married! He may have to marry a Duggar!

He did such a good job holding her too. He kept saying, "she is so cute" or "she is getting cuter".

Andrew's Playdate...AT LAST!

Owen is Andrew's best friend at preschool. Andrew has been begging me to have Owen over and we finally did on Wednesday. I talked with his mother last week to schedule the date and every day Andrew would ask me how many more sleeps until Owen's arrival! They did play very well together. The guys just did their thing and never fought or argued, they just had a great time. As soon as Owen and his family left, Andrew said with his head hanging down, "I miss Owen already!"
We played with shaving cream, but the guys did not last as long as...

Owen's little sister, Mave.

We also did a pirate hat craft. I love the clearance bins at Target, such cute little ideas for fun.

Shaving Cream = Big Time Fun!

I have read about using shaving cream and a cookie sheet to practice name writing and spelling words, etc...So, we started having some fun with it after supper was all cleaned on Wednesday night. Mason was lovin' it!
Brandon wanted to add some more since he had a ton of spelling words to write.

Then, the real fun began! Andrew started lathering himself in it...

and of course the next little monkey started...

And Brandon completed the process and off to the shower they went!

Happy 51 Lynn!

Donna's sister, Lynn, has a birthday this week. Bg and Donna were supposed to go back home to Lititz to celebrate, but the weather kept them from going. So we sang to her picture and to her on the phone and blew out her candles for her. Then...ate the cake!

BG taught Brandon and Andrew how to make homemade pizza, they loved it!

A Busy Saturday

(Brandon and Mary's schnauzer, BJ)
Saturday was jam packed full of fun! Brandon had his last indoor soccer game. Thinh made it home in time from work to take him and watch B play. They were both excited. Brandon was very happy to have daddy attend a game and equally as proud to show us his medal his coach gave him.
While they were at the game, the little ones and I cleaned up the house and ran to the farmer's market in anticipation of Thinh's stepmom, Mary and her nephew, Peter to come visit for the day. Mary lives in Manheim where Thinh grew up and Peter is from Maine, visiting his PA relatives for a few weeks. He is 12, but is home schooled. The boys had a great time playing with him. Mary came bearing lots of food gifts for us, including quail eggs she had just gathered that morning, fresh corn from her freezer and canned fresh peaches and her famous pickles as well. And, that was just to name a few! Mary can pack a lot into her basket! We had a very nice visit and Mary enjoyed comparing midwifery stories with our neighbor Kim, also a midwife.
About 3:30 the phone rang and it was my friend Amy, from York. She and her hubby and 2 boys were in Gettysburg and headed this way for a visit! Okay! We had a benefit auction at our church that evening and they were going along. So, I called the babysitter to see if she had a friend to help watch 5 active boys and she did. The boys had a fun time playing with 2 babysitters and the grown ups had a fantastic time bidding and catching up.
It was amazing how none of this was planned as of Friday evening, but everything fell into place for a super Saturday!
