A fun Labor Day outing!

What a gorgeous Labor Day '08 we had! We decided to take the boys to the Army Heritage Museum to let them run around the grounds. It is in Carlisle and can be seen from I-81. We pass it all the time and keep saying we want to check it out. It is certainly a boy place! The museum was closed, but we were still able to go on the trail and learn all about the many wars our country has been a part of. I am terrible about remembering sites we visit, but I know this... this is a cannon!

The boys favorite was exploring the bunkers the soldiers used in World War 1. They wanted to go back to it twice.

Thinh of course loved reminiscing his Marine days. This outing definitely had testosterone written all over it!

An afternoon out with my hubby!

My parents watched the boys Sunday afternoon and evening for us so we
could have a meal out in peace! We picked up our friends Chad and Jenn
Koser and headed to T.J. Rockwell's in Elizabethtown. This place has the
largest outdoor deck around. Thinh is seen here partaking in some of his dozen
hard shelled crabs, dozens of clams and shrimp as well! We were ill when
we were done eating. But, we had a great time! Thanks mom and dad!

These are the hydrangeas my parents and us gave to Donna in memory of her dad, Larry, who died on March 16. I think he would approve of Donna's green thumb!

After dinner, Donna's mom, Mary Lou, played some soccer with our guys! A great way to work off all the food we all inhaled!

Late summer evening fun

On Saturday evening, we were invited to Donna and BG's house for a cookout. We had delicious food, burgers and dogs on the grill and all the yummy eats to go with them. Mason thoroughly enjoyed the cake with chocolate icing!

pizza night

Our friends, Donna and Bg called tonight and said they were bringing Jerry's pizza over. The boys came a runnin' when they heard Donna's voice and were equally excited to see pizza also. Apparently they did not like the supper I made them tonight!

a man and his truck

Well, my hubby did it again. He treated himself to another toy this week. He traded in the bling mobile, otherwise known as a surburban, for a Ford F-150, a truck he has always loved. So, now you will have to keep your eyes out for Thinh in a grey truck, or a gray and maroon striped motorcycle, or on a crotch rocket or in a big truck with two trailers, or ............
