Hershey Chocolate World Happy!

We needed a mental health family day so we headed up to Hershey and met my parents for lunch and our annual chocolate world trip with them. We did a little shopping at the outlets before we met them. Thinh, Brandon and Andrew each picked out new shades! After a yummy lunch at Red Robin, we headed over to the ride. Mason fell asleep, so Thinh volunteered to stay in the truck with him while the rest of us headed in. We arrived just in time for the chocolate parade complete with a band and all the candy characters!

Jump Rope for Heart Association

Chambersburg Area School District's 3rd, 4th and 5th graders were able to participate in a jump-a-thon on Saturday for the American Heart Association. Brandon decided he wanted to participate. He raised $50 and joined his fellow classmates to jump the morning away.

Making Fastnachts!!!

When Brandon was in 2nd grade, Mrs. Miller his teacher, had the whole second grade make these tasty donuts! I was able to help and with Brandon's reminders, we made fastnachts today for Fat Tuesday tomorrow!
It is just refrigerated biscuit tube dough which the boys poked holes in or quartered them to roll into donut holes. Then I fried them in crisco sticks in the wok on the stove top...it literally takes about a minute to fry.

Then we let them sit on a paper towel on a plate to let some of the grease drain off. Next we had bowls of powdered sugar, granulated sugar and cinnamon and sugar for the guys to roll the fresh warm donuts in.

And the finished product! So yummy!!!

Happy Valentines Day 2010

The boys helped to set the table complete with candles, flowers, sparkling cidar and a heart shaped cookie cake!

Thinh grilled yummy lobster tails, NY strip steaks, twice baked potatoes and we also had
crab cakes and caesar salad too!

Brandon's Big Day

In anticipation of Brandon getting braces at some point this year, he needed to have some baby teeth pulled. So after a few appointments to the oral surgeon and a bout with mono, the day finally arrived on Monday February 15. Brandon handled it like a champ! I was only in the waiting room for 8 minutes before the nurse came and got me and said he was back awake and did awesome! When I went in the room, the doctor was sitting with B and had his arm around him and Brandon looked confused and was talking about his cross country skiing debut with Larry, Oliver and Andrew!
