Patio Gardening

Thinh wanted to give patio gardening a try this summer. His sister does it at her house in New York and it looked so pretty last summer, so we decided to get the kids involved and go for it. We took a trip up to the Amish greenhouse in Lurgan and load up! Andrew and Mason loved looking at the koi and ponds and Thinh and I just love the good prices!
Mason decided to play instead of planting, although he did "pick" a green tomato off the one plant for us!

Andrew was a huge help!

So...we planted in pots, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, strawberries and basil and cilantro...time will tell!
ps~I forgot to mention Andrew planted many green beans seeds and he says we need to wait 24 hours until they will grow...we shall see!

Did you ever go fishing with 3 little boys?

Mimi and Papa came down for a visit on Saturday and it was a gorgeous day! Dad wanted to take the boys fishing and mom and I tagged along. This pic is from our second stop at the Scotland Pond.
This Canadian goose kept Mason busy for a few minutes. Mason followed it until it found a small path in the woods to get away from him. He kept saying, "here ducky".
Andrew trying to be very patient!

Isn't this such a dear picture!

Brandon managed to get tangled in the tree and with Andrew's line!

Playing with the bait!

Oh my!

Mom keeping a very close on eye on the guys.

Notice the fishing rod had no line on it, but Mason did not notice and had a great time!

Brandon is getting very good at casting.

Dad did not get any time to fish with the boys along, so he went back out again later in the day and did catch a rainbow trout, which Thinh immediately grilled for dinner!

A pretty butterfly.

Mason was so excited for his first fishing experience. Yes, Andrew is scratching in the background, he was attacked by chiggers, poor guy!

Receiving instructions...which I am sure neither listened too!

A rare photo...mom and a fishing rod in her hand! She has only gone fishing ONE time with dad in 40 years of marriage!

All in all, the kids and dad, had a great time!

Spring Concert 2009

Mason 100% enjoyed Brandon's school concert. We sat/stood in the back row and Mason danced and clapped along. He was very proud of his biggest brother!
And I too, am very proud of Brandon, he did a fantastic job singing along with his fellow 2nd and 3rd graders at Benjamin Chambers Elementary.

Donna went along to watch B sing and for "crowd control" of the little two!

My camera gets "played" with a lot! I could not get the settings right, so sorry about that. But, Brandon is in the second row behind the music stand in a light blue shirt.

The theme of the program was, "America, I hear you Singing".

Spring has Sprung...Happy Arbor Day!

I am not a photographer, I leave that up to Wendi and Mark, but I do like to snap away! The flowers above are some daffodils, some pots at our front door and tulips too. I love bulb flowers, plant and just let the earth do the rest!
Stay tuned...we are going to attempt a patio garden this year...

Brandon's Spring Soccer Team

Brandon is playing AYSO soccer again this spring. He is doing awesome! It is so cool to see how he and his team have improved since the fall and how well they all play together.
Here are the Pumas!
Front row: Chava, Caleb, Trevor, Emilio
Second row: Brandon, Nathaniel, Layne
Coach Pete
B's coach is a wonderful man and great coach, the team really enjoys him and his humor too!

Easter at Mimi and Papa's

Celebrating Uncle Terry's 34th Birthday with mom's homemade amish vanilla pie - yummo!

Grandma Grandma in her Easter best!

Grandma Grandma gave Andrew a kazoo - what was she thinking???

Uncle Tim and Aunt Barbie

Brandon and his buddy Aunt Barbie!

Oma

my cousin Lauren

My mom with her eyes open! This one pic took 10 takes - no kidding! We laughed and laughed!

Thinhy so sleepy after eating ham, pineapple filling, pot roast, brown butter new potatoes, sweet potatoes, baked corn, lettuce with hot bacon dressing, deviled eggs, red beets and potato rolls. Not to forget, vanilla pie, jello cake and homemade candy. We are back to the Y already!

And my brother should be tired! I should have taken a picture of his plate! He sure can eat, but when you are 6'7", that is a lot of space to fill up!

Tazzy loves holidays! Leftovers and many warm bodies to cuddle up with to take a nap!

Our Little Guys

Last week, I got the guys dressed for church and Mason wanted nothing to do with his tie. But, this week Thinh got him dressed and just clipped his little tie and he wore it for the next 10 hours and boy did he look adorable in it!
Our goofy Andrew!

A long sleepy stare or is he planning his next move?

I just love this picture...just wish Brandon was in it too...where was he?
